About the Role:
Our client, one of Ireland’s largest and most innovative ICT solutions and services providers, is welcoming applications for the Purchasing Assistant role in their Dublin 22 office. This position, within a well-established team, offers exposure to diverse purchasing activities, supporting both the purchasing and indirect sales teams.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide full administrative support for the Purchasing department.
- Develop and maintain strong vendor relationships.
- Handle purchase order processing, internal quotations, and monthly report preparation.
- Support the accounts department by addressing queries.
- Collaborate with sales, customer service, and support teams to resolve customer issues.
- Manage PO updates, stock codes, and stock management activities.
- Oversee returns management, liaising with suppliers to ensure timely credits.
- Log and address warehouse and delivery discrepancies.
- Assist the Indirect Sales team as needed, processing sales orders and resolving customer inquiries.
- Engage constructively with colleagues across departments and demonstrate commercial awareness.
- Maintain flexibility to adapt to evolving business needs, driving personal learning and development.
Qualifications:
- Leaving Cert is mandatory for this role.
- A bachelor’s degree in Business, Project Management, or a related field is an advantage.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
- Previous experience in customer service or administration is desirable (retail background advantageous).
