Microsoft Applications Trainer

Location: Dublin 4 - Onsite 
Division: Digital Workplace / Microsoft Services
Contract: Fixed-Term Contract (September 2026 – March 2027) with a possible 3-month extension
Hours: Full-time, Monday–Friday (business hours with scheduled classroom training sessions)
Start Date: September 2026


About the Role
Are you a passionate Microsoft 365 trainer who enjoys helping users build confidence through practical, instructor-led learning? This role sits within a Microsoft adoption and enablement programme, delivering engaging classroom-based training to large groups of end users as they adopt Microsoft 365 applications.
You will play a key role in driving user adoption by delivering consistent, hands-on training that equips employees with the knowledge and confidence to use Microsoft applications effectively in their day-to-day roles.

Role Overview
The purpose of this role is to deliver instructor-led Microsoft 365 training across a range of core applications, providing engaging, practical learning experiences for end users. You will work closely with project stakeholders to coordinate training schedules, support learner engagement, and ensure a consistent, high-quality training experience throughout the programme.

Responsibilities

  • Deliver instructor-led classroom training across Microsoft 365 applications, including Outlook, Word, Teams, SharePoint, Excel, PowerPoint, OneDrive, and other applications as required.
  • Facilitate hands-on learning sessions using practical exercises, real-world scenarios, and Microsoft best practices.
  • Deliver repeated classroom sessions to large cohorts while maintaining a consistently engaging and professional learning experience.
  • Adapt training delivery to accommodate different levels of digital proficiency and learning styles.
  • Provide practical guidance and respond to learner questions throughout training sessions.
  • Create a positive, inclusive, and interactive classroom environment that encourages participation and confidence.
  • Work with project stakeholders to coordinate training schedules, participant groups, venues, and learning materials.
  • Monitor learner engagement and provide feedback on common knowledge gaps, support requirements, and opportunities to improve future training sessions.
  • Support continuous improvement of training materials, user guides, and supporting documentation where required.
  • Promote effective adoption of Microsoft 365 applications by encouraging best practices and efficient ways of working.
  • Maintain accurate attendance records and complete any required training documentation.
  • Collaborate with project teams to ensure training activities align with programme objectives and delivery timelines.
  • Undertake additional duties as required to support the successful delivery of the Microsoft adoption programme.
 
Knowledge & Experience Required
  • Proven experience delivering instructor-led classroom training on Microsoft 365 applications.
  • Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Outlook, Word, Teams, SharePoint, Excel, PowerPoint, OneDrive, and the wider Microsoft 365 suite.
  • Experience delivering practical, hands-on training to large groups of learners.
  • Excellent presentation, facilitation, and communication skills.
  • Ability to explain technical concepts in a clear, engaging, and accessible manner.
  • Experience adapting training delivery to suit users with varying levels of technical ability.
  • Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple scheduled training sessions and competing priorities.
Essential
  • Demonstrated experience delivering Microsoft 365 end-user training in a classroom environment.
  • Excellent classroom management and facilitation skills.
  • Strong interpersonal skills with a patient, approachable, and customer-focused training style.
  • Ability to maintain high levels of learner engagement while delivering repeat training sessions over an extended period.
  • Confidence delivering training to large groups in a structured classroom environment.
Desirable
  • Microsoft training qualifications or Microsoft certifications.
  • Experience supporting Microsoft 365 adoption or digital transformation programmes.
  • Experience creating or tailoring training materials, user guides, and supporting documentation.
  • Familiarity with adult learning principles and modern training methodologies.
