Senior C# .NET Full Stack Developer

Location: Dublin – Hybrid (2 days onsite / 3 days remote)
Contract: 11 months of full-time work (fixed-term, no extension)
Hours: Full-time, Monday–Friday, 8 hours per day between 8:30 and 17:30

About the Role

Are you an experienced Senior C# .NET Full Stack Developer with a strong background in enterprise software development, secure web applications, and Microsoft technologies? This role offers an opportunity to work as part of a large-scale technology programme, supporting the development, enhancement, and maintenance of enterprise-level applications.

You will play a key role in designing and delivering high-quality full-stack solutions across front-end interfaces, business logic, APIs, data-access layers, and databases. You will work closely with development, business, testing, and project teams to deliver secure, scalable, reliable, and maintainable software solutions.

Role Overview

The purpose of this role is to design, develop, maintain, and support complex web-based software solutions. The successful candidate will bring strong experience in C#, .NET, TypeScript/JavaScript, Microsoft SQL Server, web security, identity and access management, and enterprise application development.

You will operate within a collaborative delivery environment and contribute across the full software development lifecycle, from analysis and technical design through to development, testing, deployment, maintenance, and continuous improvement.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain secure, scalable web applications using C#, .NET, JavaScript/TypeScript, and associated Microsoft technologies.

• Deliver full-stack application features covering front-end interfaces, business logic, APIs, data-access layers, and database components.

• Implement authentication, authorisation, and identity-management solutions using Microsoft Entra ID / Azure AD, OpenID, and appropriate web-security standards.

• Develop, optimise, and maintain Microsoft SQL Server databases, stored procedures, queries, and data integration processes.

• Investigate, troubleshoot, and resolve application defects, performance issues, and interoperability problems.

• Develop solutions that are reliable, secure, scalable, and fit for purpose.

• Participate in code reviews, testing, deployment, release, and maintenance activities.

• Contribute to technical design documentation, solution specifications, deployment notes, and knowledge-transfer materials.

• Work closely with business users, analysts, testers, developers, and other technical teams to clarify requirements and deliver agreed outcomes.

• Support application incidents and recommend appropriate technical fixes and improvements.

• Support users of bespoke full-stack web applications by investigating and resolving support requests.

• Identify and resolve common technical issues and contribute to continuous improvement.

• Ensure development activities comply with applicable security, data-protection, accessibility, and change-management requirements.

• Contribute to technical decision-making and the delivery of complex software projects.

• Work effectively both independently and collaboratively within a multidisciplinary environment.

Knowledge & Experience Required

• Minimum of 5 years' professional experience in software development.

• Strong professional experience in C# and .NET development.

• Proven experience developing enterprise-level software solutions.

• Demonstrable experience developing complex, custom-built full-stack web applications.

• Strong experience with TypeScript/JavaScript, CSS, SASS, Bootstrap, XML/XSL, AJAX, and jQuery.

• Good experience with .NET Core, .NET libraries, and ADO.NET.

• Strong working knowledge of Microsoft SQL Server and T-SQL.

• Experience with Object-Oriented Design and Development.

• Experience working with the MVC framework.

• Familiarity with software design patterns and interoperability issues.

• Strong understanding of web application security and authentication mechanisms.

• Demonstrable experience implementing Microsoft Entra ID / Azure AD Identity and Access Management within medium or large-scale web applications.

• Experience with OpenID and modern authentication approaches.

• Experience working across the complete software development lifecycle.

• Proven experience working on medium and large-scale software projects.

• Experience with security considerations for public-facing websites and enterprise applications.

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

• Excellent communication and collaboration skills.

Mandatory Requirements

• Minimum 5 years' experience in software development.
