Work Model: Hybrid (onsite and remote as required)

Contract Type: Full-time, Monday–Friday
Contract Duration: 24 months (with two optional 12-month extensions)
About the Role: As a Junior Test Analyst, you will support the delivery of high-quality systems through structured system and user acceptance testing. Working closely with senior testers, business users, and developers, you will help identify defects, validate new features, and document test outcomes. This role offers valuable exposure to core QA processes in a real-world enterprise context.
Key Responsibilities:
Execute system and user acceptance testing of functional and business requirements
Assist with parallel testing and validation against existing systems
Prepare, document, and maintain test cases, test scripts, and UAT scenarios
Define and manage test data for assigned scenarios
Identify, log, and track software defects through to resolution
Collaborate with technical teams to ensure software quality and test coverage
Support business users during UAT and define test scope with user groups
Contribute to testing metrics, progress reporting, and QA documentation updates
Report progress to the Senior Test Analyst or Project Manager
Assist with monthly and quarterly test result reporting
Participate in knowledge transfer to departmental teams
Mandatory Experience & Skills:
1 to 3 years’ hands-on experience in a Test Analyst role, with at least 1 year in the last 3 specifically in this role
Demonstrated familiarity with functional and regression testing practices
Competent in writing and executing test cases, identifying defects, and tracking quality metrics
Strong communication and reporting skills
Availability to commence services from 1st July 2025
Educational/Professional Requirements (any one of the following):
Level 8 NFQ degree in computing + 1 year recent ICT experience
Level 8 NFQ degree (any field with computing in final year) + 2 years ICT experience
Level 7 NFQ computing qualification + 2 years ICT experience
Level 6 NFQ computing qualification + 3 years ICT experience
Two relevant industry-recognised certifications (one in a testing-related area) + 3 years ICT experience
Skills:
Enthusiastic and detail-oriented approach to testing
Ability to quickly learn and apply QA procedures and tools
Strong organisational and documentation skills
Experience in regulated or public sector environments
Familiarity with testing frameworks, defect tracking systems, or scripting tools
